Creative Journeys

Discover or Rediscover the gifts of Ageing: a creative exploration through Drama and Movement
with Christine West & Mandy Carr

From: 1.00pm To:5.00pm

£50 for one, £90 for two, £120 for all three workshops a month in advance. Or £55 per workshop.
A limited number of concessions are available on application.

Are you holding back from expressing yourself, taking risks and going for what you really want in life?
In Western Europe, there seems to be a profound fear of ageing, which glorifies the young and deprecates the old, often resulting in a sense of division between generations. Is so called ‘mid-life crisis’ a springboard for growth and transformation? If we integrate the child, adult and elder within ourselves, what impact might this have on wider society?

This series of workshops will use Shakespeare’s ‘King Lear’, along with improvisation and ensemble work, movement and more to help you get back in touch with your well of creativity and inspiration.

These workshops can be attended individually or as a package. Whist their aim is personal exploration, therapists, teachers and other professionals may also find them helpful.

This is an opportunity to work with experienced dramatherapists, Christine West and Mandy Carr. They have lead a range of acclaimed workshops and this the first time they have co-facilitated. Christine has specialized in Body work, Art and Movement, whilst Mandy’s interests lie in Theatre, intercultural work and use of voice.
