| Workshops Tao/Tango Workshop with Leigh Blyth and Maggie Cowan-Hughes Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th July, 11-5pm - Studio 10 Around 150 years ago, in Buenos Aires, people from many, many different cultures arrived in a new continent and searched for a mutual expression of belonging, of their life challenges, of politics and, of course, of love. They created tango: the music and the dance. Going back even further - thousands of years, in fact, when wise folk studied the interactions of nature and produced really good, simple techniques to help build and channel energies. We put these taoist practices into the pot to enrich the dance and every aspect of life. Flowing with the chi in basic tango movements and in the tango embrace, you will learn the flavours of the rhythms and delight in a fun, passionate and glorious summer’s weekend.
