Therapists Dr. Anna Spivack
I am a Doctor of Counselling Psychology, and practice mainly within Person Centred and Integrative frameworks. I am also trained in Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural approaches, and Psychometric Testing. I have worked in the field of Psychology and Psychotherapy for nearly fifteen years. I have worked with adults, adolescents and children, providing individual and group therapy. I have also worked with couples and families. My particular area of expertise is in Eating Disorders therapy; I have worked with people suffering with Eating Disorders, and carried out research in this area. I won the Excellence in Research Prize in 2010 for research carried out in this area. I also have extensive experience of working with bereavement. I additionally provide therapy for a range of other issues, including terminal illness, health problems, relationship difficulties, low self-confidence, self-esteem, identity, loneliness, anxiety and depression. I have worked in a number of NHS organisations, including Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Tavistock and Portman Clinics, and Guy’s Hospital. I consult in Harley Street one day a week. I have a degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and a full member of the Division of Counselling Psychology.
