What is Tanguito?
Tanguito is an authentic Argentine tango school in the heart of London.
Pleased to teach you :)
We teach with an original technique using modern teaching tools to produce
happy, shiny, dancy people. We want our students to enjoy tango and
we'll do everything we can to make you feel at home. And, no matter
what, cross our hearts and uncross our fingers (and toes) we will:
- make tango accessible to everyone through clear and personalised
teaching.
- bring out your personality when you dance tango and nurture your
ability to create and improvise.
- give you the skills to show off at tango parties, known as 'milongas',
the heart of Argentine tango.
Ok, so what is tango apart from a fizzy, orange drink?
In short, tango is: a dance of South American origin, danced by couples
in a social setting. In long, it is emotional, poetic, disciplined,
physical, unpredictable, addictive, passionate, authentic, spiritual
and that's only the short of the long of it. So, if you're looking for
something involving with a ton of character and loads to offer, Argentine
tango is for you.
Tango attracts a whole melting pot of people, some who look like they
were bred for it and some who might come as a surprise, so don't fret
if you don't look straight out of Buenos Aires. And, if you feel you
have two left feet, that's fine too. Everyone's got to start somewhere.
