Classes   Contact Improvisation - Playful physics with Robert Anderson Wednesdays 7–9pm, 22nd Sept to 24th Nov - Studio 2 Ten classes offering techniques and strategies to awaken our body-mind's curiosity and appetite for movement. Awakening our senses and reflexes to be able to orientate through spherical space. Developing connections within our body and outwards into space and with other bodies. Channeling the requiring energy and tone in the body to glide, fly and fall with a partner. Expanding our ability to be both soft and strong, supported and supportive, active and responsive. We'll combine the technical themes with time for open dancing inviting pleasure, play and poetry into our movement. The classes are intended both for those new to contact and for experienced dancers who want to become more attuned to the subtleties of touch, direction and intention. About Robert: Robert Anderson has been passionately involved with Contact Improvisation since 1996. He has studied with leading CI teachers including Nancy Stark Smith, Kirstie Simson, Martin Keogh, KJ Holmes, Andrew Harwood and Ray Chung. Robert teaches and organises contact improvisation classes, jams and workshops in London and internationally. In teaching dance improvisation Robert seeks to help students find a deeper connection with the body and our senses. He performs with Touchdown Dance and improvisation ensemble SoFt. Back to Classes
